Sólo se puede poner :visited, :hover, etc para el tag A.
Por otra parte, CSS es "Cascade Style Sheets".
Como es "en cascada" podés poner:
A:visited H1 { text-decoration: none } A:hover H1 { color: #FCFDC8; text-decoration: none}
A H1 { COLOR: #ffffff; FONT-FAMILY: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; FONT-SIZE: 10px; MARGIN-LEFT: 20px; TEXT-DECORATION: none}
A:visited H2 { text-decoration: none } A:hover H2 { color: #9f180d; text-decoration: none}
A H2 { COLOR: #000000; FONT-FAMILY: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; FONT-SIZE: 10px; MARGIN-LEFT: 20px; TEXT-DECORATION: none}
Lo que significa que si tenés el tag H1 justo a continuación del tag A, tomará ese atributo.
O sea, ponés <H1>Hola</H1> y NO toma el atributo.
Ponés <A Href=...><H1>Hola</H1></A> y SI lo toma.
