Solo cambia el where en lugar de buscar una fecha concreta busca un rango de fechas
where fecha >= xxxxxx and fecha <= yyyyyyy
igual podria ser
where month(fecha) = xx. and year(fecha) = yyyy
el resto queda igual
No logro entender tu ejemplo
