Hola a todos:
Sucede que estoy tratando de instalar MySQL en un entorno de Linux Debian 3.1(sarge) y pues no puedo, ya lo he intentado 6 veces probando con las versiones binarias 4.1.0, 4.1.1 y 4.1.2 y lo instalo supuestamente, se crea la base de datos Mysql, mas no se crea la Test, pero cuando intento arrancar por primera vez, todo truena y se aborta el arranque.

En la bitacora de errores me dice que probablemente haya un bug, pero yo ya lo estoy dudando porque probando con tres(3) versiones distintas y que todas traigan un bug es muy raro, yo lo que estoy temiendo es que mi Linux(que lo instale de un CD que venia en un libro de texto) este mal instalado o configurado o no se que puede estar pasando.Tambien se menciona en Mysql que en varios casos el "tar" de algunos OS no es muy confiable, ya baje el GNU- tar y supuestamente lo instale, pero si ya habia otro, como se que lo sustituyo o como hago uso del nuevo para una ultima prueba.
