Problemas con html y google analytics

Muy buenas amigos, me estoy volviendo loco con mis casi nulos conocimientos de html para introducir un codigo de google analytics en una web que he echo en iweb a ver si me podeis ayudar.

Google me dice:
Copie el segmento de código y péguelo al final de su contenido, inmediatamente antes de la etiqueta </body> de cada página que desea supervisar.

Pero cuando meto el código donde me dice y abro el html en mi explorador solo sale código en lugar del contenido de la web.

Muchas gracias por la respuesta, pero sigue pasándome que cuando introduzco este código me sale en pantalla todo el código html en lugar de la web, no se por que pasa pues antes este código lo tenia en otro index durante meses y funcionando correctamente todo, por cierto una maravilla el google analytics.

No se que esta pasando, no se si podría ser posible que al desarrollar el código html del index con un editor gráfico llamado iweb del macosx pueda ser que posteriormente no deje modificarlo en un blog de notas para añadirle html.

Me estoy volviendo loco buscando soluciones.

es posible que lo estés poniendo "en modo diseño". No sé cómo funciona iweb, pero supongo que tendrá alguna opción para insertar código a mano, no en WYSIWYG

Iweb viene con una herramienta en la que puedes insertar código, pero como el código dice google que lo tengo que poner en un sitio concreto no utilizo esa herramienta, lo que hago es coger el código html que genera iweb y abrirlo en un blog de notas, allí le añado el código html a mano y me da estos problemas, por eso digo que no se si es posible que iweb de alguna manera impida que posteriormente se añada código manualmente con otra aplicación o algo así.

Pero me parece que al final lo voy a hacer con otro programa por que no se que hacer ya.

¿alguna sugerencia de editor html sencillito y gratis?

El unico problema que veo para que no funcione la edicion en el bloc de notas es que tengas el archivo abierto tambien en iweb.
