Error de asp

instale el iis y al escribir en la barra de direcciones http://loclhost se habren 2 ventanas:

http://localhost/localstart.asp
http://localhost/iishelp/iis/misc/default.asp

en la primera no hay problema se abre nor mal pero en la segunda me marta el siguiente error

Tipo de error:
Objeto Server, ASP 0177 (0x800401F3)
Cadena clase no válida
/iishelp/iis/misc/default.asp, línea 12


despues me voy a esa direccion pero no existe /iishelp/iis/misc/default.asp, línea 12 alguien sabe a q se deba
acaso no se instalo bien el iis o q paso?¿?¿?

son los menus de bienvenida cuando instalas el IIS, no les tomes importancia, mejor para realizar tus pruebas

entra a la carpeta en "C:\INETPUB\WWWROOT\"; todo el contenido agregalo a una carpeta nueva, y ya que esta completamente limpio

en notepad, agrega
<%response.write "hola mundo"%>
guardalo con el nombre de Default.asp

vuelve al explorador, escribe localhost; y te aparecera el mensaje "hola mundo"

bueno todo esto lo pregunto por algo
de echo si puedo ver las paginas asp
lo q pasa esq al tratar de insertar un registro no lo hace pero me danda un error "Internet Explorer no puede mostrar la página web"


pero esq no espesifica q es exactamente
y pense q esas carpetas q faltan pues pueden ser las de ayuda
ya e trabajado antes con el iis y asp y cuando tenia algun error me decia de q tipo y lo espesificaba pero ahora no.

delfin85 usa estos pasos:

1. Vas al IExplorer y das click en la opcion de menu que dice Herramientas
2. Despues seleccionas Opciones de Internet
3. Sigues ahora seleccionando Opciones Avanzadas
4. Vas alli a la seccion que dice Examinar y ahi desmarcas la opcion que dice Mostrar los mensajes descriptivos de los errores HTTP

o usa Firefox

no puedo hacer una insercion en mi basa de datos
y lo mas raro es q no me aparec q tipo de error es
y ya le quite eso de "mostrar mensaje descriptivo"al IE
y se q no es un problema de coneccion o algo asi
porq inserte uno manaualmente
y si se puede apreciar en la pagina, tambien ya hice lo de los permisos
pero no puedo insertar desde la pagina porq?¿?¿?

solo son registros en la base de datos eso solo q hay un campo q se llama ruta pero solo gusrdo el puro texto.
