buscar datos

Hola amigos ....despues de varias ayudas de este foro..he podido hacer mi primer programa en php...

pinchar la direccion web (mas abajo del aviso de publicidad):

lo que necesito ahora es que cuando se ingrese un dato (el rut) ,vaya a la base de datos para ver si esta registrado ...si lo esta.. que metraiga los

Si no existe informacion uno la puede ingresar(la parte de ingresar ya me funciona)..

me falta la instruccion de buscar el dato...
y eso es lo que solicito que me ayuden......

no se que codigo de php poner..para buscar los datos..............

esa instruccion es la que me falta..

ok, copia todo el codigo que hay en el archivo, en donde está ese formulario y pegalo aca, ojo si hay contraseñas o nombres de usuarios de las bases de datos reemplazalos por otra palabra ... xD
