Redireccion

Hola
Tengo un dominio y quiero modificar la direccion de una subcarpeta, es decir, de loquesea.com/foro/loquesea a loquesea.com/index.php/foro/loquesea, es decir cuando se acceda a la carpeta /foro/ que ponga delante /index.php/ y respete por detras el resto de la dirección.

He probado haciendo un redireccionamiento desde el cpanel de mi hosting (de pago en un LAMP) pero en ocasiones no redirecciona asi que me falta algo, hay una opcion wildcard que no se excatamente si eso valdría (no se lo que es muy bien) o bien configurar algo en el .htaccess
