compilar PHP

hola, quiero agregarle la extension de postgres a mi MacBook (Mac OS X 10.4.10).
en varias partes he leido que hay que descargar los fuentes del php y compilarlos haciendo esto

ejecuto esto, pero me dice, ya instale el gcc, pero no se que hay que configurar para que me funcione.

si alguien me puede hechar una mano se lo agradecedia
