Imagen se estira solo en tablet

Estoy probando una web, en el index aparecen dos imaágenes (cada una lleva a una web distitna) y se ve perfectamente en PC y en móvil pro cuando la veo en una tablet las imágenes se estiran mucho.

Y me d a la sensación que es por este código:

Cuál es el ancho original de tu imagen? Si la estás agrandando mucho con CSS es lógico que se estire.

la imagen mide 300x560px.

y en CSS le doy 100% ancho y alto

Probá darle un max-width: 100% y quita el height: 100% y el width: 100%
