problemas con internet explorer

hola Tolaware saludos, antes que nada muchas gracias por tu interes.

sucede que al intentar habrir algunas paginas que tengo en favoritos incluyendo mi servidor de correo electronico que es yahoo. habre la portada pero no me deja entrar a mi correo, y en algunas otras paginas no habre nada y aparece una ventana que dice ;
Internet explorer cannot display the webpage
y mas abajo le doy en la opcion :
Diagnos connection Problems
y entonces se habre una ventana que dice

Network Diagnostic for windows XP
Windows cannot connect to the internet using HTTP, HTTPS, or FTP. this is probably caused by firewall settings on this compu.
Check the firewall settings for the HTTP, port(80), HTTPS port(443), and FTP port(21).

cabe mencionar que el firewall es el que he usado siempre (sin problemas antes) y que solo na habre algunas paginas , otras trabajan bien. el tipo de servicio de internet que tengo es DSL.
respecto a loque dice de checar el firewall settings ports 80, 443, y 21 ¿como lo hago?
