In June 2003,
a cease and desist letter was received from Blizzard Entertainment, who thought
the name Freecraft could cause confusion with the names StarCraft and Warcraft, and that
some of the ideas within the engine were too similar to Warcraft II. The project halted on June 20, 2003.
Soon the developers regrouped to continue the work by the name of Stratagus, with a change in the aim
Eso no me parece que sea lo que dijiste, para empezar no veo ninguna demanda, el problema principal que tenian era el nombre del proyecto. Para terminar me parece que la carta (y no demanda que no hubo) fue exitosa ya que continuaron no solo con otro nombre sino que con un objetivo diferente. Y por cierto el proyecto esta en punto muerto ...
