Puedes hacerlo al revés y poner el enlace en el AS, en el xml sólo el enlace en sí:
this.ref["noticias"+i].comentario_txt.htmlText = "a href='"+subnodes[0].firstChild.toString()+"'Enlace</a>";
Creo que sería algo así.
