Dell Dimension 2400 no reconoce memoria

Hola,

Estoy actualizando la memoria. Esta PC tenía un módulo de 256MB y lo reemplacé por otro de 512MB, cuando la enciendo da error "Memory modules are detected, but a memory failure has occurred." según el código POST (luz A y B amarrilla y C y D verdes).

Hice todas las recomendaciones que da el manual (ver abajo), pero me da el mismo error. Incluso puse de nuevo el DIMM original de 256MB y tampoco lo reconoce.

Alguna sugerencia.

Suggested Resolution

• If you have one memory module
installed, reinstall it (see page 64)
and restart the computer.

• If you have two or more memory
modules installed, remove the
modules, reinstall one module (see
page 64), and then restart the
computer. If the computer starts
normally, reinstall an additional
module. Continue until you have
identified a faulty module or
reinstalled all modules without
error.

• If available, install properly working
memory of the same type into your
computer (see page 64).
