Compatilibilidad de Win Vista y Samba

Gracias por responder, efectivamente ya segui cada uno de esos pasos y no pasa nada, te cuento, es una red de 15 pc xp y un vista home, la red es linux centos.

dentro de lared puedo imprimir entre los xp a xp, de linux a xp y no hay problema
tambien puedo imprimir de xp a la impresora de vista, pero del linux al vista no hace nada, la impresora fue creada como todas las demas que funcionan, pero aun asi no imprime.

como es un vista home, no tiene politicas de seguridad por eso no hay secpol o gprdit, tengo que hacerlo manual entrando por el registro regedit y cambiado la configuracion de seguridad asi

This is not supported by Samba, or at least not supported by any of the Samba servers I use (Mac OS X, Debian Sarge, or Buffalo TeraStation). This is despite the fact that the Samba documentation implies that it should work.

The fix is to change it to 0x1, which means "use NTLMv2 if available, or older versions if not." Reboot. Samba shares will work just fine
