Hola quiero consultarles lo siguiente estoy utilizando una botonera animada en java con el siguiente código:

la cual a los div contenedores lo tengo con border radius , el problema es que en internet explorer 8 tube que utilizar behavior:url(PIE.htc) el cual me relentiza la animacion de mis botones.
por que el pie.htc relentiza mi animacion en java ?
