Yo genero el codigo sin las cremillas, o sea:
cuerpoMsgContestacion = cuerpoMsgContestacion & " <td height=31><img src=http://www.midominio.com/images/mails/gris01.gif width=134 height=31></td>"
El html despues las hace sola...
