No me funciona este código en IE 6

Hola!

¿Alguien tiene idea de porque esté código no funciona en IE6?

Código PHP:

 $("ultopnav li").hover(function() { //Hover over event on list item
  $(this).css({ 'background' : '#1376c9 url(topnav_active.gif) repeat-x'}); //Add background color and image on hovered list item
  $(this).find("span").show(); //Show the subnav

Funciona en todo menos en IE6, no llega a mostrar el span que está englobado en la etiqueta <li>

No veo ningun problema, puede que este en otro lado de tu codigo y no precisamente en ese.
pon mas codigo. saludos
