acabo de recibir en mi mail y mensaje fraudulento y queria exponerlo publicamente para ver si alguien puede pararle los pies a estos cabrones.

es el siguiente:

Dear Domain Owner (mi nombre),



THIS IS A VERY IMPORTANT MESSAGE. PLEASE READ IT IMMEDIATELY.



The following list of domains will be deleted on the specified date:



'midominio.net' WILL BE DELETED on 10-31-2007



unless you contact your agent 'Technological Factory S.L.' at [email protected] and urge them to renew the domain names on time.



Once the domain name is deleted you will not be able to recover it, as somebody else might register it when it becomes available again.

Please don't delay and contact [email protected] TODAY.

por supuesto yo no tengo ningun dominio en dotregistrar.com, y mi dominio todavía tiene un año de registro.

¿Y lo tienes registrado con "Technological Factory"? ¿O con tecnodat.com? Si es asi, es posible que estos sean resellers de dotregistrar. Mira en el whois a ver quien aparece como empresa registradora de verdad. Tu puedes haberle pagado a tecnodat.com la renovacion hace 3 meses, pero estos no tramitarla (pagarla) a dotregistrar hasta el ultimo momento. Los datos de expiracion que valen son los del whois, no los de tu panel de control.

La verdad es que no me parece un fraude, en todo momento te dicen que contactes con "Technological Factory". Los intentos de robo de clientes suelen tener un enlace directo a la solicitud de traslado de dominio.

Eso si, los resellers no se tomaran muy bien que se ponga en contacto directo contigo.

Asi que comprueba los datos del whois.

Tiene toda la pinta de que lo has registrado en un distribuidor de dotregistrar. Los proveedores de dominios suelen enviar este tipo de mensajes en el último momento antes de perder el dominio saltándose la relación de marca blanca o privacidad que mantengan con sus resellers.
