Con tu pregunta, no se pueden usar DNSs privados junto con el hosting de Dreamhost. La razón de esto es porque Dreamhost no te garantiza que siempre tengas la misma IP desde la cual tus sitios van a ser servidos, durante una migración o mantenimiento en los servidores puede cambiar sin aviso alguno. Aún si adquieres la mejora de IP única para tus sitios no hay
garantía que será siempre la misma:

The reason for this is sometimes our network topography needs to change and the only way to do this is via the shuffling of some IPs.
Tipicamente la opción a usar DNSs con dominio propio solo está disponible en servicios Reseller o VPS, no en servicios tan
baratos como los shared.
